For Kara, music has been a burning passion since early childhood. She spent her teenage years glued to the screen watching back-to-back music videos in the early days of MTV and covering her favorite tunes on guitar and piano. It was a no-brainer that she would wind up working in the music industry in some capacity. After graduating from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University with a degree in Business, Kara was ready to make her mark.

She moved to Los Angeles with dreams of pursuing a career in artist management but serendipitously found herself trying her hand at DJing about a year after transplanting to the West Coast. With a natural flair for the craft, Kara quickly built an impressive client list that includes major brands like HBO, Disney, Nike, Zillow, Microsoft, and Amazon.

Now, DJ Kara isn’t looking back! You’ll often find her DJing at a wide range of events—including weddings, corporate events, and private parties—while also staying focused on refining her skills, growing her agency, collaborating with talented people, and fully enjoying the journey.
